Carlo Franza


He was born in 1949, he graduated in History of Art Criticism at the University of Rome under the supervision of “Maestro” Giulio Carlo Argan and Luigi Grassi.
Later on he also got a degree in Art and Literary Sociology supervised by Franco Ferrarotti and Graziella Pagliano Ungari. He is considered as one of the most illustrious experts in Modern and Contemporary Art. He has been wri­ting criticism in the “Giornale” for several years. He is both an art critic and the editor of important contemporarv artists’ exhibitions and monographs; he also deals with literature and contemporarv poe­try. He won a prize in Cortina in 1994 and a prize in Saint-Vincent in 1995 for his contributions to journalism and art criticism.
